What I built
ICT Dachshunds is Wichita's dachshund club, the people behind Running With The Weens, the wiener dog races at ICT Blocktoberfest, and Dachsgiving. The site was built for the club. Here is what is on it, as of 2026-10-04.
Racing hero
Animated dachshunds racing in three lanes, built into the site.
The Race and Race Day
Two sections that explain the event and how the day runs.
Eventbrite link-out
Racer registration and tickets run through Eventbrite. The site links out to the Eventbrite page.
Dachsgiving
The club's other event, held every November at a county-park building. The site says the date is announced on Facebook.
The Pack
The club's story, including how its founders started it after seeing dachshund meetups in England.
Sponsors
A sponsors section listing the businesses that back the event.
Contact form
A contact form for questions that the page does not answer.
Facebook group
The club already has a Facebook group, and the site points to it for announcements such as the Dachsgiving date.
Who it's for
ICT Dachshunds is a club first and an event second. The site has to work for three kinds of visitor: an owner deciding whether to enter a dog, a family deciding whether to come and watch, and a business looking at sponsorship. The Race, Race Day, The Pack and Sponsors sections speak to each in turn.
I built it for the club, and the footer credits Showrunner. The hero is the part I would show first: three lanes, dachshunds running.
If you run a club or an event, Showrunner by Dispatch explains what a site for one includes. The rest of the sites I have built are on the work page.
